My daughter loves this chutney. Whenever she eats Samosa she needs this. This chutney goes well with snacks like Samosa, Pani puri, Sev Puri, Onion Bajji.
Ingredients:
Lemon Sized Tamarind pulp
10-15 Dates.
1/4 cup of Jaggery(You can use Sugar instead of Jaggery)
Roasted Cumin seeds powder. (Make it fresh then the chutney tastes good)
Pinch of salt
1/2tsp of Red mirchi powder.
Preparation:
Boil the tamarind pulp, Dates in a 1cup of water. Add roasted cumin powder, salt, Jaggery, mirchi powder and salt. Once the mixture starts boiling, turn of the heat. Let the mixture cool down for 5 mts and blend it using blender. If the mixture is too watery boil it for 10 more mts.
Keep it refrigerated after it is cool down. The tasty Tamarind-Date chutney is ready. This can be stored upto 4 weeks in the refrigerator.
